Take your furkid on a guided pet pilgrimage\, get a special pet blessing from our pastors\, go off-leash & picnic in our nature campsite\, splash around in the wading pond\, or just relax & bond with the fur-mily in our 35-acre grounds. \nOpen to dogs and cats of all sizes! \n  \nEvent Details\n\n9 October 2022 (Sunday)\n8:30 am – 12 noon\nKechara Forest Retreat\n\n  \nHIGHLIGHTS\n\nGuided pet pilgrimage\n\n8:45 am – 10:45 am\n\n\nPastor pet blessings (for a long & healthy life)\n\n9:00 am – 11:00 am\n\n\nPet-friendly wading pond\nOff-leash picnic area\nWalkies in nature (over 35 acres & 10 holy sites to explore!)\nBonding with hoomans & non-hoomans\n\n  \nImportant Notes\n\nTo ensure the health and safety of all pets\, we recommend that your pet is vaccinated and on flea/tick prevention treatments.\nNo outside food allowed. Food & drinks are available on-premise.\nYou may wish to bring along a hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen & mosquito repellant to protect yourself from the elements.\nPlease observe social distancing\, wear face masks and comply with official SOPs to ensure a safe experience for everyone.\n\n\nHouse Rules for a Better Pet-Friendly Experience\nWe ask that you and your furkids observe our pet-friendly house rules: \n  \n🐾 USE DEDICATED PET TOILET\n\nPets are only allowed to relieve themselves at the designated pet toilet areas.\nUpon arrival\, please bring your pet to the designated pet toilet first before continuing to enjoy our grounds and facilities.\nPlease pick up after your pet and dispose pet waste in the designated waste bins.\nWhile on the premises\, please ensure your pets are wearing diapers if they are not toilet trained.\n\n  \n🐾 LEASH YOUR PET\n\nPlease keep your pet leashed (except in off-leash area) and accompanied by human owner at all times.\n\n  \n🐾 SOCIALISE YOUR PET\n\nYour pet should be friendly and comfortable with humans and other pets.\n\n  \n🐾 KEEP TO DESIGNATED PET-FRIENDLY AREAS\n\nFor hygiene purposes\, only outdoor areas are pet-friendly.\n\n  \n🐾 NO PETS ON PUBLIC FURNITURE\n\nPlease keep your pets on the floor or inside your pet stroller/carrier.\n\n  \n🐾 NO EXCESSIVE NOISE OR NUISANCE\n\nBe considerate of other guests\, pets and pet owners.\nIf your pet seems uncomfortable\, please take your pet for a walk or for some quiet time.\n\n  \n🐾 BYO FOOD\n\nPlease bring food/snacks for your pet if required.\nWater and water bowls are available on site.\n\n  \n🐾 PET MARSHALL\nTo ensure hygiene and safety measures are met\, our pet marshalls may impose the following to ensure rules are followed. \n\nPenalty between RM10-RM50\nInsist pet and pet owner leave the premises\n\nAll penalties received will be donated towards our animal welfare projects. \n\nAnimal Rescue Activities\nOur founder\, H.E. Tsem Rinpoche was known for his love of animals. When Rinpoche conceptualised of Kechara Forest Retreat\, it was meant to be as much a sanctuary for animals as it was for people. \nIn particular\, our Aviary provides a new lease of life for birds rescued from abuse\, neglect and a life in captivity. Today\, it is home to over 40 birds including Sulphur-crested White Cockatoos\, Cockatiels\, African Greys\, and Budgies. \nDo visit our Aviary and say hello to our feathered friends during your trip to Kechara Forest Retreat. \n\nPARTICIPATION IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
