Ruchok can be performed for both humans and animals\, whether they are alive or have passed away. During the ceremony\, the hair/nails of the living and the ashes/bones of the deceased are blessed and “transformed” into Vajrayogini. \nUpon completion of this sacred ritual\, these consecrated remains will be mixed with other holy items\, and made into tsatsas. These special tsatsas will then be inserted into the Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen Stupa for continuous blessings and collection of merit. We plan to complete the Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen Stupa in 2022 as part of the Tsem Rinpoche Relic Temple Project. \nIn this way\, every being who is blessed in the Ruchok Puja will remain strongly connected to Rinpoche\, Vajrayogini and Kechara in this and future lives. \nThe Vajrayogini self-initiation ceremony will also be performed during the puja. This complex\, elaborate ritual has great significance for both initiates and non-initiates. For the uninitiated\, participating in the Vajrayogini self-initiation creates the causes for us to receive Vajrayogini’s practice in the future. For the initiated\, the ceremony mends and reaffirms our vows taken previously\, and purifies downfalls that could prevent us from gaining attainments from our practice. \n  \nEvent Details\n\nMay 8\, 2022 (Sun)\n10.00 am – 4.30 pm\nKechara Forest Retreat\nFree\n\n\n\nRuchok is a purification ritual to bless the hair and bones of humans/animals and transform them into Vajrayogini.\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow you can participate\nYou can submit any of the following items at Kechara House\, Petaling Jaya or Kechara Forest Retreat\, Bentong by May 6 (Fri). \n\nHair from the crown of the head (for the living)\nBones or ashes (for the deceased)\nFur or feathers of your pets (living or deceased)\n\nIf you are making a submission\, please see the important notes below. \nAdmission to the puja is free and all are welcome to attend. If you are attending\, you may wish to offer kuyong (a token monetary offering) to the Sangha who will be conducting the puja. \n\n\nThe blessed ruchok remains will be made into tsatsas and inserted into the Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen Stupa. The Stupa will be completed in 2022 as part of the Tsem Rinpoche Relic Temple.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Notes\n\nItems from each person or pet should be submitted in individual Ziploc bags (one bag per item)\nOnly a tiny amount of hair/ash/bone is required\nLabel each bag with the name of the person/animal to whom it belongs\nIndicate if the item belongs to a person or animal\nIndicate if the item belongs to a living or deceased being\nIndicate your name and phone number in case we need to contact you\nThe items you submit will not be returned to you. After the puja\, they will be made into tsatsas and inserted into the Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen Stupa at Kechara Forest Retreat.\n\n  \nSuggested Contribution\nAny amount is welcome (suggested contribution is RM100 per submission).
