3D2N OF FUN-FILLED ADVENTURES UNDER THE STARS!

These days, our children spend most of their time indoors, busy with their phones and gadgets. It’s seldom that they get to enjoy the great outdoors. Many parents often wonder how they can encourage their children to engage in experiences that are not dependent on technology. We’ve got the answer right here in Kechara Forest Retreat!

This coming December 8th, 9th & 10th, we’re opening the gates of Kechara’s Enchanted Forest Camping Hills for the very first Kechara Forest Retreat Kids Camp 2019!

Children between the ages of 7 to 12 are welcome to join this fun and enriching 3D2N camp that is jam-packed with games and activities that will keep our young campers mindful, happy and excited.

Programme highlights include:

  • Indoor and outdoor games
  • Outdoor camping
  • Stories by the campfire
  • Roasting marshmallows
  • Stargazing
  • Welcoming the morning sunrise
  • Light cooking

Wholesome vegetarian meals will be served and safe accommodation in the lush forest will be provided in the form of comfortable camping tents. Each roomy tent sleeps two participants and is equipped with sleeping bags, ground mat, lights and fan.

Facilitated by the experienced teachers and volunteers of Kechara’s Sunday Dharma School, this will definitely be one of the most unforgettable childhood memories that you can give your kids.

Benefits

Our young campers will learn the values of teamwork, leadership, communication, problem-solving and other positive virtues as they set up their tents and participate in the interesting activities scheduled for each day. And along the way, they’ll enjoy and experience nature alongside their new-found friends!

  • Positive Attitude: An ’I CAN DO’ outlook and a positive mindset are key factors in raising winners and not whiners. Learning to focus on the bright side of things will bring out the best in your child.
  • Team Building: Our fun camp activities promote team building. It is also a great opportunity for children to learn how to communicate effectively with their peers and work towards a common goal.
  • Life Skills: Our young campers will develop valuable life skills such as problem solving, listening and creative thinking which will help them resolve situations they come across later in life. They’ll also learn about positive qualities such as kindness, humility and resilience which will create a strong foundation for them to become contributing members of society in the future.
  • Mindfulness Development: Our games and activities are based on mind training principles that can improve your child’s performance at school and at home. They’ll become more attentive and focused, while cultivating a sense of responsibility and accountability. It will also boost their confidence, optimism and self-identity.
  • Tech Break: Helps children develop discipline and self-control to avoid excessive usage of electronic gadgets and to be more connected to the world and the people around them.
  • Emotional Bonding: Being in nature promotes well-being and reduces stress. Enjoying the simpler pleasures in life and acquiring a sense of adventure will boost your child’s natural happy hormones. This can help promote trust, empathy and bonding in relationships, especially within the family unit.
