What is Soongdrup?

Soongdrup is highly beneficial when creating holy Buddhist images such as His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche’s 7ft Statue.

Every time a devotee, pilgrim or visitor makes offerings and prayers here, a portion of the positive spiritual energy is transferred to everyone who has contributed to the statue’s construction — a perpetual source of merits.

This is why we place great importance on fulfilling the traditional rituals to enhance the blessings of the holy objects inside Rinpoche’s Statue — to increase the stream of merits for all sponsors and supporters.
