Vajrayogini Self Initiation + Ruchok Blessing Puja

August 11 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm SMT

Bless the remains of your dearly departed with a special purification ritual for hair and bones. Ruchok can be performed for both humans and animals, whether they are alive or have passed away. During the ceremony, the hair of the living and the ashes/bones of the deceased are blessed and “transformed” into Vajrayogini.

The puja includes the Vajrayogini Self Initiation, which has great significance for both initiates and non-initiates.

  • For the uninitiated: Creates causes for us to receive Vajrayogini’s practice in the future.
  • For the initiated: Mends and reaffirms vows taken previously, and purifies downfalls that prevent us from gaining spiritual attainments.

Upon completion of the ritual, the consecrated remains will be mixed with other holy items and made into small Buddha images (tsatsas). Ruchok tsatsas will be inserted into large Buddha statues that will be installed at Kechara Forest Retreat in the future.

Who is Vajrayogini?

Vajrayogini is the supreme embodiment of wisdom and compassion whose practice is the most efficacious among all the Highest Yoga Tantras. She is particularly suitable for the people of our time because her practice helps to purify and transform desire, which is the current and most pervasive energy within samsara.

Vajrayogini manifested specifically to pacify our self-created inner obstacles that are provoked by the outer environment we live in. Therefore, her blessings are very potent and powerful for this day and age.
