Receive the blessings of the wealth deities and protectors in a grand wealth-summoning puja for growth and success in all areas of life. Known as Yangdup in Tibetan, this elaborate ceremony is traditionally performed once a year in all Tibetan monasteries.

The ritual calls upon the wealth deities to generate material resources, abundance and prosperity. This provides sustenance for sponsors, monasteries, Dharma centres and participants, and also fuels the growth of Buddha’s sacred teachings.

In preparation for the puja, the Wealth Box at Kechara Forest Retreat will be unsealed — to replace last year’s offerings, and to add on even more precious items to symbolise ever-growing abundance.

At the conclusion of the Yangdup ritual, Kechara’s Wealth Box will be consecrated, blessed and sealed once more until the following year.

How to submit

You can submit any of the following items at Kechara House, Petaling Jaya or Kechara Forest Retreat, Bentong by Aug 20 (Wed).

• Wealth vases of enlightened beings to be re-energised during the puja.
• Wealth pills (yang dzay rilbu) to be blessed and energised during the puja.
• Wealth arrows to be blessed and energised during the puja.
• Token monetary sum (notes only, no coins) to be placed in the “wealth bag” inside the wealth box to generate energies of increase and growth for you.

Important Notes

• Only wealth vases of enlightened beings are permitted. Please do not submit/bring wealth vases of unenlightened beings.
• Items to be re-energised must be present throughout the whole puja. It is not possible to add them after the puja has begun.
• Label your items with your name and phone number.
• Please ensure you get a tag when you submit your items at Kechara House or Kechara Forest Retreat. You will need the tag to collect your items after the puja.
• When handling and transporting your wealth vase, please follow the correct protocol. Click for details.
• We will do our best to safeguard your items. However, we are not responsible in the unlikely event of loss or damage to your items.
• If you are submitting money to be placed inside the wealth box, put it in a ziplock bag and label it with your name and phone number in case we need to contact you.
• Money that is placed inside the wealth box cannot be returned.
